SPREADSHEET TO TABLE

Convert spreadsheet cells to a LaTeX text table

Literal text table examples · browser preview is not TeX compilation

To move a spreadsheet range into LaTeX, copy the selected cells and paste into the intended top-left cell of the Table Generator. This imports text values, not spreadsheet logic or formatting.

Copy values, not a CSV file

The importer expects plain tab-separated columns and newline-separated rows. Quoted CSV is not parsed. A comma inside a value stays a comma; it does not become a new column. Embedded tabs or line breaks cannot be retained inside one cell. Export or copy a simple rectangular range if your source application produces complex clipboard text.

Verify the pasted range

Paste may expand the table but must fit within 12 rows and 12 columns, with at most 256 characters in each cell. Validation happens before mutation, so a rejected block cannot partially overwrite the table. Choose an earlier starting position or split a larger dataset.

Preserve literal text

Type a percentage as ordinary text. The generator escapes the percent sign in LaTeX source so it does not start a comment. Spreadsheet formulas are not recalculated. The example below keeps the displayed values as entered.

Literal spreadsheet values
TrialSuccess
A25%
B75%

Browser specimen · compile the source in your LaTeX application to check the final layout.

\begin{tabular}{lr}
\hline
\textbf{Trial} & \textbf{Success} \\
\hline
A & 25\% \\
B & 75\% \\
\hline
\end{tabular}

Finish the document structure

Check headers, per-column alignment, borders and the current visible dimensions. Hidden backing cells reappear if you expand again. Undo handles changes during the current visit; browser storage is not a backup. Copy or download a separate file when the table matters. Compile the downloaded document to inspect line lengths and page fit.
